Volunteer with WLHCA

WLHCA is always grateful for community members who are willing to share their time, ideas, skills, and enthusiasm in support of Wollaston Lake. Whether you are a resident, cottager, student, retiree, seasonal visitor, or someone who simply cares about the lake and its future, there are many ways to get involved.

Volunteering with WLHCA is a meaningful way to support lake health, strengthen community connections, help with events, contribute to communications, and play an active role in protecting and celebrating the place we are proud to call home.

Ways to Get Involved

WLHCA welcomes volunteers with a wide range of interests and availability. Whether you are looking for an ongoing role or simply want to help when you can, your contribution is appreciated.

Volunteer opportunities may include:
- Newsletter contributions, including Community Corner updates
- Event support and planning
- Environmental and lake health initiatives
- Community outreach
- Photography or content contributions
- General Members at Large
- Sharing ideas for new projects or initiatives
- Student volunteer hours, where suitable opportunities are available

General Members at Large

General Members at Large are welcome and do not need to commit to a long-term role or specific portfolio. This is a great option for anyone who wants to stay involved, offer input, help with occasional tasks, or bring forward ideas that support WLHCA and the Wollaston Lake community. Help when you can, contribute where you are comfortable, and be part of the ongoing work that helps keep WLHCA active, informed, and connected.

Students & Community Service Hours

Students looking to complete volunteer hours are encouraged to reach out to WLHCA to ask about available opportunities. Where possible, WLHCA may be able to connect students with suitable volunteer tasks related to events, communications, lake stewardship, or community support.

Interested in Volunteering?

If you are interested in volunteering, contributing to the newsletter, helping with events, supporting environmental initiatives, or getting involved as a General Member at Large, we would love to hear from you.

Please email WLHCA.news@gmail.com and let us know what interests you, how you would like to help, and whether you are looking for a specific role or occasional volunteer opportunities.

Protect the Future of Wollaston Lake

Whether you're a resident, seasonal cottager, or lake enthusiast, your support helps preserve the natural beauty, environmental health, and community spirit of Wollaston Lake for generations to come.
