Winter on the lake is a special part of life in our community, and this February, residents, families, and visitors are invited to enjoy a fun day outdoors at the Hooked on Winter Fun Family Ice Fishing Day.
This community event is a great opportunity to spend time with family and friends, try ice fishing, enjoy the winter scenery, and support local initiatives connected to outdoor recreation and fish habitat. All skill levels are welcome, making it a great event for both experienced anglers and those who are new to ice fishing.
The event will take place on Sunday, February 15th, 2026, from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM at Urbach Lake at Nellie Lunn Park, located at 855 The Ridge Road, Coe Hill, ON.
Guests can enjoy open entry, family activities, ice fishing, prizes, draws, free bait, and a free lunch, with donations appreciated. Loaner tackle will be available in limited supply, and snowshoe-in access or rides will be provided on a first come, first served basis.
Proceeds from the event will support the Nellie Lunn Park Fund and the North Hastings Community Fish Hatchery.
